My Electric Shocks

I read that we may soon be able to stimulate our brains with electric shocks that will enlarge our capacity to learn and retain, that it may help with some of the awful problems that now come with age. I can't wait, so I have to make my own electric shocks, like the one that I have every day—actually almost every minute—when I think about my lover.

Falling in Love at Ninety-Two

At ninety-two, I fell in love with a fifty-three-year-old poet, who fell into love with me too. We have an intense mental and emotional love that enlarges our senses and our lives. We've very different people that have melded into one person, bonding in so many ways. We encourage and sustain each other even when we seldom meet in real time or place.

Questions and Joys

I cannot understand how I came into so many joys so late in my life, so I continue to ask, Why?
