What am I buying?
You're purchasing a DRM-protected ebook — a digital file you can read on your phone, tablet, or computer using a compatible app such as FBReader, Thorium, or others. See our list of compatible apps and devices.
A few things worth knowing before you buy:
- Not a physical book — nothing will be posted to you
- Not compatible with Kindle — Kindle devices and the Kindle app are not supported
- Not yet compatible with Kobo — though there are signs this may change; see this discussion for the latest
Can I get a refund?
Because ebook licences are issued immediately on purchase, we're unable to offer refunds once a transaction is complete — this is standard practice for digital content.
To make sure you're happy before you buy, please check that:
- you're purchasing an ebook, not a printed copy
- you have a compatible reading app installed
If you have any doubts, feel free to contact us before purchasing — we'd rather help you make the right call than have you stuck with something that doesn't work for you.

Where do I find my passphrase?
Your passphrase is required to open your book in compatible reading apps. You can find it in your account settings (LCP protection section).
Which countries does Readino sell to?
Due to distribution and licensing requirements, we're currently available in the UK, the US, and Australia, with more countries coming soon. If you're outside these regions, you're welcome to browse the catalogue in the meantime.
Are Readino books readable in FBReader?
Yes, Readino is created by the FBReader team, and our books work seamlessly with FBReader. See our dedicated page for details.
Can my reading application integrate with Readino?
Yes. Readino provides an OPDS 2.0 API for third-party reading applications:
