About the Book

Unlocked is a collection of 50 poems that touch on different topics. The overall style of writing is free verse with a few haiku poems. This book expresses how she feels as a young, black, Christian woman living in America.

Coming from the mind of an introvert, Unlocked is the release of many emotions always kept inside. There are moments of anger, pain, love, encountering God, and even being a little quirky.

Purpose and Inspiration

The hope behind this book is that other young people can relate to these feelings and will become inspired to follow their dreams of expressing themselves through art whether that looks like writing, painting, singing, or dancing. We all have a voice but it's how we use it that matters.
