TRIPS Agreement and Intellectual Property Rights Regime in India

Introduction

The present book is a humble endeavour made by the author to explore and bring to the fore various implications of Intellectual Property Rights which are in conformity with TRIPS Agreement in developing countries in general and India in particular.

It has addressed various concerns of developing countries which must be taken into consideration taking into account their unique socio and economic paradigm.

This book has coalesced heterogeneous elements of TRIPS, IPR, Sustainable Human Development and public interest into a perfect synthetic whole.

This book also reviews some of the seminal impacts of the TRIPS Agreement on issues such as innovation, dissemination of technology, access to health care, development and use of biotechnology, and functionalism of multilateral environmental agreements, with special reference to Convention on Biological Diversity.
