This was my first mother-hug since I wore shorts and sandals. My shoulder was wet, my mum was sobbing and my brain was in terminal panic! This whole dolphin thing was meant to be a joke, for crying out loud! Now it was a nightmare of biblical proportions.

That Dolphin Thing is the hilarious story of one boy's navigation through the treacherous waters of adolescence. Will he make it? Or will he sink under the weight of his Professor-of-Jokes mother's illness, a girl called Killer, his neurotic siblings, and a very big fear of the sea?
