Let the races begin!

Ruby is to be engaged to Hildebrandt, Mia’s simpleminded cousin, but her heart is set on common-born Vanos, captain of the Princess Guard—a love Mia absolutely wants to see come to fruition! So how will she break off Ruby and Hildebrandt’s engagement? With a horsemanship tournament, of course! What other way could there be?

The plan

The plan is simple: make Hildebrandt lose. Terribly. Mia knows that her cousin’s current love is horses, and being as straightforward as he is, mastering his horsemanship skills is his top priority. So, what would happen if he lost to a citizen of the Equestrian Kingdom like Aima? He’d leave Tearmoon to go study with the Equestris, obviously! Hildebrandt: gone; problem: solved. But...just where does that leave Ruby and Vanos? Is there any hope for them? And just what is the deal with this “Horse Dance”?!
