Sergeant Premiers, killed in Iraq, was in the United States Air Force. Sergeant Premiers' wife is Volette Nicole Premiers, and he is the father of Donta and Carl Premiers.
Moving Forward
Now that Volette's husband is dead, she is forced to move off of the military base. With the amount of income she will receive from her husband's military service and supporting two sons, she is concerned about how she will be able to afford it.

Carl is five years old with special needs. Born with a growth disorder, his mind and clarity appear to be developing at the normal rate of a five-year-old, but his body growth is extremely small. Tests were done while Sergeant Premiers was alive, but finally, the Sergeant and his wife decided no more tests for young Carl.
The Family
They were a strong family unit, Black proud Americans. The Sergeant was a strong man; he never made a decision based on his family's needs without discussing it with his wife Volette. Together, they decided family matters. When the Sergeant wasn't on tour, he always spent quality time with his family. He was a true man of stature—well loved, well respected, and well missed.
