Scam at the Ranches

A borrowed Porsche. A baseball bat. A dead woman who hadn't been who she seemed.

Jack Rhodes hadn't been meant to be a part of it, but once he was, he couldn't walk away. He started pulling on a thread that dragged him beneath San Francisco's polished surface, into a world where men who had believed themselves untouchable became the quiet victims of vigilante justice.

The escalation of danger

And what began with one death quickly led to kidnapping, trafficking, and a deadly entanglement with a dangerous cartel. Jack had to find a way to help Auntie Mei and Clara Baxter, the elegant, implacable leaders of a discreet network, save the thirty-eight helpless, stolen women held by predator Vincent Raines in his scattered ranches across the remote California hills.

Jack's skills and determination

Jack needed every one of his unique skills as a forensic analyst and MMA fighter just to have a chance of making it out alive.
