About the Story
The story is about a 9-year-old country girl, perhaps somewhat like yourself. She lived in the Ozark Mountains of Northwestern Arkansas in the 1930's (with brothers, sisters, Ma, Pa, Grammy, & Mr. Foot (Pa's old coon dog).
Her story is about family togetherness, family love, and family trials and tribulations of the 1930's in a poor county of Arkansas. It encourages and invites us all to be part of her family.
Why? Because loneliness and uncertainty surround us all. This story focuses on the closeness the family shared, the gift Ma made for Chloe, and how it all changed her life.
