Overview

An immigrant's experiences of the Chimerunga and his service, initially with the Police, but later with Military Intelligence. He liaised with South African state security (BOSS), finally using these contacts to emigrate there before the new state of Zimbabwe came into existence.

Life in South Africa

In South Africa, he became an engineering student at Wits University. A few years after graduation he establishes a successful consultancy, but still suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, which re-surfaces from time to time.

Reunion and Threats

He re-meets an old flame from his Rhodesian days, marries her. He joins an ex-service men's association, re-meets colleagues and learns that Mugabe hasn't forgotten or forgiven him. He remains threatened.
