Reckless Bargain

Summary

Sloane Madigan came home to Crater Bay with a failing marina to rescue and a rule about not needing anyone. Eight years after fleeing the Oregon coast town that took her father, she's back as general manager of a resort held together by salt and stubbornness and her absentee owners have given her until Labor Day to turn it around or watch it sold to a corporate chain. Gabriel Orosco has forty million dollars riding on a waterfront development the whole town wants dead. He has money, plans, and exactly zero credibility with the locals who see one more Portland developer come to pave over their memories. Then he walks into her office with a proposal: she pretends to date him, he funds the repairs the marina desperately needs. Twelve weeks. Through the council vote. Nobody gets hurt. It works too well. The town starts believing it. Worse so do they. Between dock repairs and midnight confessions on the pier, the man she swore was the enemy starts feeling like the first safe harbor she's found since she was ten years old. But Gabe is keeping one secret about how this deal began. And in a town this small, secrets don't stay drowned. The Reckless Bargain is a fake-dating romance about stubborn hearts, second chances, and the difference between a transaction and a promise. Sign on the line.
