Pointing Somewhere

When Ryder wakes among the ashes of a fallen city with no memory and nothing but a rusted iron compass, they face an impossible choice: stay hidden or follow a needle that refuses to point north.

The compass doesn't navigate maps-it pulls toward people, toward promises, toward the ones who need finding. In a shattered world of rubble and silence, Ryder discovers that the most dangerous journey isn't about reaching a destination; it's about the fragile bonds formed in the darkness.

Adventure begins when you stop running and start listening.

Ryder meets Mateo, a boy no older than ten, abandoned in the ruins and surviving on canned pears and hope. Together, they follow an instrument that no one should trust a compass that points somewhere, even when nowhere feels safe.

Across chapters told in prose that reads like poetry, their story unfolds: a tale of found family, trauma transformed into strength, and the quiet magic of showing up for someone when the world has fallen away.

Perfect for readers seeking literary adventure, character-driven fantasy, and stories that explore what it means to belong.

Fans of post-apocalyptic fiction, coming-of-age narratives, and emotionally resonant magical realism will find themselves held by this compass's strange pull. A haunting, unforgettable journey about second chances, the compass we follow, and the people who become our true north.
