Peter Asher
A Life in Music
About Peter Asher
As a musician, award-winning producer, and talent manager, Peter Asher has both witnessed and participated in seismic changes in the music business-from the British Invasion in the 1960s to corporate takeovers of independent labels in the 1970s; from the MTV era to the nearly unrecognizable industry of today. Throughout, he has been virtually alone in his success as a hitmaker and producer for world-famous artists. His ability to produce projects across a vast range of genres-rock, country, jazz, classical, movie soundtracks-is simply without peer.
