GRAMPS, Harm's father, wants his son to get married and settle down, giving him more grandsons. He hopes Harm will find his true love like he did with his deceased wife.
How They Meet
A hurt Harm first meets Barb in her kitchen in his military shorts. His Navy plane went down into the Atlantic Ocean, which caused him to seek a place to recuperate where his dad and sisters lived. They lived on a cattle ranch owned by Barb, which brought her into his life. Their paths would have never crossed—him a Navy pilot and military lawyer, and her a rancher.
Developing Feelings
Harm used to women opening chasing him, and Barb not willing to do that is a challenge for him. When he realizes he has found his true love, he had been searching for, Barb realizes the same thing. Will Harm become the chaser, which he is not used to being, or will Barb, who is not used to being either, take the lead?
Obstacles and Resolution
They encounter roadblocks, including Harm's ex-girlfriend's appearance—two bullheaded people. Will they resolve their bullheadedness and realize that true love is within reach? Maybe a wedding is in their future, and a family is a possibility. Two people watching each other from afar, grabbing quick looks when the other isn't looking.
