Ordinary Russians

Barry Broadfoot’s Ordinary Russians

Artfully recounts the author’s 1987 month-long trip to the Soviet Union. Skillfully combining his own impressions with the storied experiences of Russians from all walks of life, including a trapper, a policewoman, a poet, and fishermen, Broadfoot presents a society in the midst of rapid change.
