One is a Warrior
The Relentless Fight of an Army National Guard Sniper Team in Ramadi
Victory Has a Body Count.
The Reckoning Is Personal.
When Harry Martinez volunteered, he was a police officer and a father who understood what war demands. He had served in the Marine Corps in the first Gulf War. In 2005, he arrived in Ramadi with the Army National Guard—where Al-Qaeda in Iraq hid among its citizens and every breath could be your last.
Their sniper section was tasked with one mission: find the enemy and stop them. From rooftop hides and shattered buildings, their split-second decisions saved American lives and ended others. Every victory left behind faces burned into memory, scenes that refused to fade, and a wavering faith he had to rebuild.
