Missing women & others

Selected by E. Annie Proulx for inclusion in The Best American Short Stories of 1997, and winner of the Willa Cather Award, June Spence is one of the most original new voices in fiction today.

In her collection of short stories, Spence offers us rare glimpses into the hidden lives of so-called ordinary people, those people we think we know: our neighbors, our co-workers, our relatives, ourselves?
