About the Author
John Buchan (1875 - 1940) was a Scottish historian, novelist, and politician. He wrote many thrillers, historical novels, histories, and biographies whilst simultaneously being a prominent figure in public life. He also served as Governor-General of Canada from 1935 until his death.
