Devastated by the loss and fearing for the lives of his children, the savvy wilderness guide receives a vision and sets off in search of survivors. Led by a chickadee and a wolf pup, Lusio battles despair and physical injury as he pursues the ragtag remnants of his once-flourishing clan. But with renegade soldiers prowling the treacherous terrain and winter well on its way, he fears his chances of tracking them down are rapidly slipping away.
