Little Purple Puppy

Introduction

This book began as a story. When my daughter was about three years old, she was laying in bed having a rough night. My wife asked if I could go tell her a story. I wasn't sure what to tell her but I thought I could make up something.

The Inspiration

At the time, she carried around a little stuffed puppy dog and her favorite color was purple. So, I made up the story about the "Little Purple Puppy." Unknown to me, she absolutely fell in love with it.

The Reception

The next day when I came home from work, my wife told me that all my daughter could talk about was the Little Purple Puppy. At three years old, she tried and tried to retell the story. When my son came along, it quickly became a favorite to him as well.
