Setting the Scene

It is October 1979, Seoul, Korea. President Pak is trying to stifle democratic rumblings from the opposition. The students are on a rampage, the tycoons are anxious and the Americans are getting very nervous.

Lee Pil-soo, former KCIA chief, is about to launch a conspiracy that will ignite the brewing turmoil.

The Main Character

Into this cauldron will be thrown one Patrick Casey, boozer, brawler, ex-Peace Corps Volunteer. Casey's linguistic gifts will place him squarely in the middle of a tug-of-war between the CIA and the KCIA in the murderous season of autumn.
