Introduction

After numerous trips to Rome I wanted to put together a variety of little things which I had learned, I also wanted to share some of my personal favorite places in and around Rome with all of you and wish and hope that someday you can go and walk and do the fabulous things I have been able to do over the last 15 years in Rome.

Traveling to Rome

Traveling to Rome means immersing yourself in the Eternal City, a vibrant mix of ancient ruins like the Colosseum and Roman Forum, Renaissance art, Baroque fountains (Trevi Fountain), Vatican City's spiritual grandeur (St. Peter's Basilica, Sistine Chapel), and charming neighborhoods like Trastevere, best explored by walking to discover incredible history, delicious Italian food, and lively piazzas, with a need to book major sites ahead and utilize public transport or foot power.
