I Am the Soldier

I AM THE SOLDIER

I AM THE SOLDIER is a series of short stories in poetic form that takes you on an emotional journey describing the inner feelings of family members who are left behind after they send their loved ones off to war. These stories describe the vulnerability of the families and their soldiers before and after they say goodbye.

Each poem reveals the silent yet heartfelt emotions surrounding absence, missing, waiting, and the what ifs. The turning point in the book is a soldier's emotional explanation about being called to serve.
