How to Paint: Oils

How to Paint: Oils

is a stunning new book that introduces the reader to the subject of oil painting. The book assumes no previous knowledge of this exciting medium, and covers everything you need to be acquainted with to get started, from equipment and materials through to methods and techniques. This is a serious art book for serious artists, designed to both inspire and teach beginners, and to provide experienced painters with a solid introduction to oils. The rigorous text is supported with full-colour photographs, and clear descriptions and step-by-step instructions are provided throughout. The book culminates in three step-by-step projects, giving the reader the opportunity to produce three fantastic oil paintings of their own. Many of the author's beautifully executed own works are exhibited throughout the book, which cannot fail to inspire the reader, and the book's predominantly practical, hands-on approach to the subject means they can pick up a paintbrush and start painting right from page 1!
