Hanna-Jane, a little girl, is given a puppy, Toby, to look after. But she is only allowed to look after him until he is old enough to go to a good home.

Hanna-Jane learns to love Toby and would like to keep him. When a lady from Seeing Eye Dogs Australia sees Toby, she wants to take him away for training as a Guide Dog.

Hanna-Jane has to decide if she can part with her special puppy so that he can become a Guide Dog.
