Gauchos
About the Book
Through a humorous twist of fate, Mr. Hacker was "volunteered" to coach children's soccer during the seventies, and continued to work with young people through the eighties, nineties, and early two thousands.
In the beginning, there were no soccer fields or well-groomed complexes, soccer moms, nor even any youth-sized soccer balls in the stores. A lot of history transpired during that period and as chronologically noted, affected the author's life in many wondrous and sometimes bizarre ways — which makes for a colorful and many times inspirational reading.
While only a handful of teams are noted in this accounting, Coach Hacker trained over six hundred and fifty youngsters in four different cities during his thirty-five-year romp through young soccer. Join Coach Hacker as he relives those heartfelt times in "Gauchos."
