Essays (Barnes & Noble Digital Library)

Issued after Brimley's death

This fine collection of essays was offered as a memorial to the scholar, who had published all of the pieces save one anonymously in periodicals such as The Spectator and Fraser's Magazine. Included are meditations on the works of literary giants such as Dickens, Carlyle, Tennyson, Thackeray, and Wordsworth.
