Cottontail Chronicle

About the Book

With adorable photographs and a story told in rhyme, A Cottontail Chronicle travels through a year in the life of the cottontail. Beginning on a warm spring day and the discovery of a nest of bunnies, author Tom Rawinski, a scientist and dreamer, offers insights into the rabbits simple experiences.

Endearing, entertaining, and educational, this picture book for children communicates the message that bunnies, too, are nurtured and love to play, explore, eat, wash, sleep, and share as they face the challenges of growing up.

Poem

Once upon a cottontail, lovely month of May.

Mother knew with babies few,

Hide them well today.

Nestled snug like bugs in rug, kits are nursed and grow.

Open eyes, big surprise.

A world they soon will know.
