Cory McBrown: Year 1
A My Friends In Bantry Story
About the Book
Cory McBrown is growing up in the town of Bantry, Ireland. She is beginning secondary school alongside her best friends—twins Samantha & John McBride, and her older brother Bart. She has been tasked to chronicle her secondary school years in a series of journals, and she's worried she won't have anything to talk about.
But among the normal challenges of being a 12-year-old— a new school, when she's going to get her first period, and her friends who are older starting to date— she's also feeling caught between her mother and her brother, who are not getting along. She knows it has something to do with her father leaving, and she's scared she's now going to have to choose between Bart and her mom.
