Pulled by her soul-mate Jordan, into his dimension, Lydia finds herself immersed in a world controlled by an artificial intelligence, whose sole purpose is to protect the power source that runs the planet, but it does so at the cost of all who live outside of its city.

At the city’s heart is the Central Unit providing them with all their wants and needs, keeping them healthy and young, and at the top of the unit is the Spire - their place of rest. But, to those that live outside of the city, the Spire is a place of death. For they are hunted by the city's Guardian, their thoughts, their knowledge, their DNA extracted, their bodies broken down and inserted into the Central Unit, then reproduced and controlled by the Guardian.

To protect the city the Guardian allows no one to leave and no one to enter, but Jordan will risk all to be with Lydia. And when he is apprehended for leaving the city to be with her, she will stop at nothing to save him, even risk insertion.
