Afghanistan was a long haul from Sgt. George Oliver GO Pheifershometown in Western New York.

He had joined the United States Army beforefinishing college as he tried to find a definitive track for his life. But his armycareer was cut short during an attack on his outpost in Afghanistan. Severelywounded, he would join the ranks of veterans trying to overcome the physicaland mental wounds endured by those scarred in battle. With the help of Benny,an intuitive prosthetist, and Chad, a fellow amputee, he found a new track forhis lifes work in working on and teaching students about wooden boats. Afterfinding a mysterious map in an old boat, GO became entrenched in the intrigueand FBI interest surrounding the map. All this while he was finding love alongthe way.
