Many will find a connection with the pain and joy of the author's teenage years only to be re-experienced through the lives of her children as they work their way through the maze of adolescence to adulthood.
Others may recognize themselves as the lone woman on the boy's club boards and committees and the intense need to be the best, to know the most, and to always land on top. It is the story of many of us.
