About the Book

This is my second poetry book (my first was Somebody Elses Words Were Mine). I have incorporated both up-to-date material and poems that I've written at least eight years ago in this book.

My first book was made up of only old poems from almost two decades ago, which were published in February 2014. On my recent house move, I uncovered more poems that I’d written just under a decade ago. I seem to have written in bouts, often unaware that there are large gaps in my creative periods.

Personal Moments

My family is now settled in our new home, spending time walking our dogs and taking them on holidays with us. A while ago, on a beach in Devon, both dogs were one minute running along the sand happily, then off they went heading for Burgh Island, where they climbed onto rocks and jumped into the sea. It was a heart-in-mouth moment! The dog managed to survive that holiday, no worse for wear.
