Helen Miller Fraser later Helen Moyes

14 September 1881 – 2 December 1979 was a Scottish suffragist, feminist, educationalist and Liberal Party politician who later moved to Australia.

During the Great War she worked as a Commissioner for the National War Saving Committee. She was seconded to the Board of Agriculture to persuade women to work on the land.

In 1917 at the suggestion of Millicent Fawcett she was included by the British Government as part of the official British War Mission to the US, to speak about Britain’s war effort. She travelled through 40 states and spoke 332 times in 312 days.

In 1918, on returning to Britain, her book of the tour “Women and War Work” was published. (Excerpt from Wikipedia)
