Women and Social Policy

is a major new textbook on women and social policy in Britain in the 1990's. Written by a team of leading academics, the book provides an introduction to the key topics and issues in social policy as they directly affect women as both users and providers of welfare services.

All of the main social policy areas are covered: employment, poverty and social security, housing, education, health, the personal social services and community care. The book also covers other issues such as race and domestic violence.
