In the Old Testament, God put in place prophets to guide His people; and under the covenant of grace, the Holy Spirit educates and teaches all things. Rather than seek help through the Holy Spirit, people are moving farther away from God by wanting to do things in their own way. Earthly wisdom always leads people astray. That is further reason why there is no peace in the world; but the wisdom from God is peaceable, gentle, open to reason, and full of mercy and good.
