About the Book

This book is a compendium of short stories and excerpts of personal journal entries from the life of Jack Whitman, a wildlife biologist who spent fifty years in some of the wildest places that remain on this earth. It is about his love of those places and the wild inhabitants with which he shared those lands.

It is about a deep devotion towards understanding the ecology of predators and their prey, and with that knowledge, greater respect and better management of those natural resources.
