Corporal Leonard Guttridge was among the many unsung heroes of the Battle of Britain--the Royal Air Force mechanics and armorers who patched bullet holes, repaired engines, refueled empty tanks and replenished ammunition, enabling outnumbered pilots to return to the skies.
