At a young age I went to live with my grandmother Lizzie Robinson until I was about 10 years old.

My grandmother and I had lots of fun doing things together. All the stories she told me about her life and growing up in Louisiana, in a little place called Byseria south of Jackson, Louisiana, where she lived and worked on this plantation.
