This book is about the lives and achievements of one hundred Kashmiri doctors who have done outstanding work in Kashmir or outside Kashmir. The book focuses on prominent doctors who served in Kashmir in the postmissionary era.

It covers nearly a century of health care in Kashmir through the profiles of Kashmiri doctors of various eras who served there. The book profiles twenty-five Kashmiri doctors who migrated and worked outside Kashmir, including twenty from the US who established themselves as leaders in medicine and surgery.
