They have been absent from our world for 500 years

Now the gargoyles have returned. Returning from a summer archaeological expedition in the Yucatán, Berkeley University professor, Adam Landis, and a group of his students stop off in a small Arizona desert town. None of them can imagine the terror that awaits.

When one of the students goes missing, it leads to the discovery of a species long believed to be only myth and legend. Now a handful of townspeople must battle these creatures and destroy the colony, before tens of thousands of eggs hatch and an army of gargoyles spreads across the country and around the world.
