What would you do if the only family you had left disappeared from your life?

Gemma Avrett must ask herself this very question when her ten year old brother, Julian, goes missing. Following the trail of blood, Gemma must leave the safety of her small community and risk the Virus, a terrible disease that spread through the world and turned humans into horrible monsters. But when Gemma befriends the infected, she realizes that maybe not everything is as she thought it was. And that, maybe, Julian's disappearance was the will of the Virus.
