Plot Summary
Ever since her father was kidnapped by evil extraterrestrials and she was sequestered in a secret boarding school for scientific geniuses, Nikola Kross has known there are two types of aliens: parahumans (the good kind) and Old Ones (the bad kind). On her first field trip outside the school limits, Nikola and her friends discover a mysterious Old One called Darleeen living alone in the woods. But she seems different than her sisters; in fact, she doesn't seem evil at all. When Nikola and her friends journey to Subterra--a massive underground facility--to rescue her father from his alien abductors, it turns out Darleeen just may hold the key to their escape.
