Overview

This book is based on a woman's betrayal of Lifeher marriage to a man who abused her both emotionally and physically, and her struggle to escape from him.

Background

Her father died when she was a small child and her mother died when she was still a young woman. After struggling with life for several years, she met a nice, kind young man. And although she loved him, she did not want to marry him, so he walked out on her. This reinforces her opinion that all men are scumbags and were not to be trusted.

Relationships and Betrayal

Finally, she befriended a young woman whom she trusted; but alas, she also betrayed their friendship. At her wits' end after her betrayal, she tried to end her life.
