Pinky left her country many years ago, and her and her husband have worked very hard to build their dream in Toronto, Canada. Since she left, she never looked back, and the desire to go home to see family and friends was lost as time went by.
The Loss and Reconnection
But the sudden death of her husband brought an emotive wave of pain and sadness both in South Africa and in Canada. The need to reconnect with family became apparent, but the gravity of the loss and responsibility that came afterwards posed a huge challenge.
Paul’s Decision
Paul, her 26-year-old son, stepped up to the challenge. For the first time, he decided he would go on a visit to South Africa. However, his encounter with his granny changed his point of view, and he decided to stay in South Africa to make granny happy instead of his own mother.
