Synopsis

The world is not over for David when Sonia dumps him for a fitness instructor ten years younger than him; now's the time to enjoy all of those things he’d always wanted to do—at least until she realizes her mistakes and decides to go back to her quiet, boring life.

The only issue is that for David, the expression "If anything can go wrong it will" is a reality more than a thought; to the point where he can’t believe it when something good happens. And if you don’t believe it, ask Laura.
