Summary

A mysterious monster is haunting the seas, and no one quite knows what to make of it. The US Navy sends an expedition to uncover the monster's identity. Three people—oceanographer Professor Pierre Aronnax, his servant Conseil, and whaler Ned Land—are tossed overboard when the monster rams the ship. They discover that the monster is actually a submarine sailed by the secretive Captain Nemo. As they voyage through the seas, Captain Nemo's troubled past comes to the surface, and the journey takes a turn that may threaten them all.
