Book Synopsis

Meagan Stevens and her sister Chris are brought up with good Christian morals. Mark DeFore is the son of a minister and the father of one. They are brought together by fate, and their adulterous affair that follows goes against all their beliefs.

Mark's wife Karla struggles with alcohol; their family is torn apart. Megan's ex-husband Robert, a handsome popular sportscaster, struggles with a very dark side. Megan seeks comfort with her friends and especially with Greg, an artist whom she meets in Paris. She seeks his advice; however, their meeting and his move to New York alter his life forever.

These families are linked by the lake that drifts by their estates. Evil cuts through the fog, death lies beneath the water. Can the love of Megan and Mark survive? Should it?
