Story Overview

This story begins with Charlotte, an ordinary little girl, travelling on an ordinary train to London’s Baker Street. Although Charlotte’s travelled on a train a zillion times before, this train journey turns out to be a truly magical adventure. For on the way she meets the most extraordinary people who appear to have stepped right out from the pages of her most favourite fairy-tale books! But surely that cannot be possible? After all, Cinderella and her nasty step-sisters are surely just make-believe. And Dorothy and the Wicked Witch of the West never really existed at all. Did they? Are the passengers on Charlotte’s magical train journey just ordinary people, like you and me, or could they really be the stuff of fairy-tales....?
