The Annual Rabbit Trail Run
Introduction
Best friends Tommy and Chester look forward to summer and all the fun activities. This year was going to be very exciting because they will be racing in the annual go-cart race for the first time. Each year, Thomas Place sponsors a go-cart race named "The Annual Rabbit Trail Run."
The Race
The children compete against one another in a race through town with their homemade go-carts, being cheered on to the finish line to win the championship cup, and have their name and picture with on the cover of the Thomas Place Times.
Preparation
This is the first time Tommy and Chester will drive in the race, and there are many preparations to qualify. Every contender has to raise their own admissions fee. The adults and parents are supportive of creative job ideas.
Celebration
At the end of the race, there is a big lunch served in the town square where the winners are celebrated and everyone is rewarded for their hard work.
